How to re-add an addon domain when cpanel says its already configured?

This is a Dedicated Server Guide.

Login to root

cd /var/cpanel/users/

nano -w username

Remove all entries of the addon domain and the sub domain used for the addon domain. Save and exit.

Then you will be able to re-add the addon domain in cpanel.
